6.  Small 6-inch ruler
7.  Protractor (required for Geometry, all other classes are optional)
8.  Compass (required for Geometry, all other classes are optional)
9.  Scientific Calculator – you may use any you now have, however, if purchasing a new one, some good examples are TI-34, FX-300, etc.  Look for the following keys on the key pad:  SIN, COS, TAN, LOG, LN, EXP.  Most students also prefer to have a fraction button, a b/c.

Optional supplies that some students like to have:
1.  Assignment pad
2.  Folders
3.  See-through zippered pencil pouch or box to carry all of the small items above.

NOTE:  Students are to bring these supplies to class everyday along with their completed homework assignment.  Locker passes will not be given to retrieve missing items.

Calculator Usage:  It is important for students to use calculators only when instructed by me.  It is to be used as a time-saving device only!!  Students who secretly use the calculator at home for their homework will probably have trouble on the test when the calculator is not allowed.

Figuring Nine Weeks Grade
1.  Your nine weeks grade will be the average of all test grades which will count 60% of your total nine weeks grade.  The average of grades for the Notebook/Journal will count 10% of your total nine weeks grade.  The remaining 30% will come from the average of daily homework.

2.  If a prior is not done ahead of time, or if a student is cheating, or if he/she is not showing his/her work or the work does not match the answers which could indicate possible cheating, an automatic zero will be recorded for the day.

3.  Late assignments will not be accepted unless authorized by me prior to class starting.  Late assignments will be accepted (but not limited to) for the following:  illness, school activities.
